From the Principal
It is great pleasure that I have the opportunity to serve as principal in the Hillside Public School District. As a product of public schools, and as an individual who has served children and parents for more than thirty years, I firmly believe that as members of our educational community work together, we can make a difference in the lives of young people. It is imperative that adults
establish relationships with young people
offer students opportunities for growth
mentor to share experiences
support students when they falter, and
provide young people hope for tomorrow.
As principal, my goals include ensuring all
Students are engaged in a learning environment that is safe, secure, and nurturing.
Students are provided opportunities for experiences in and outside of the classroom to encourage and promote learning, intellectual and social growth,
Students and staff develop and foster pride in our community.
Staff is provided the opportunity to learn from each other and utilize available resources for professional and personal growth.
Hillside is our school. It requires that we treat it like home, a place where we can live and learn together. We must treat each other and all in our community with respect and compassion. "Hillside Pride" our school motto stands for
P roud students who are
R espectful, show
I ntegrity and are
D edicated to
E xcellence.
We must dedicate ourselves to these ideal and values. We can all make a difference. I look forward to working with our community and I wish our students great success in the coming school year.
Dr. Lee D. McCaskill,
Principal
