Today, 8/5/2025, Lisa Lee, the Director of Sustainability Programs at EZ Ride (@ezride_ig) visited the Lectec Summer Academy program at Hillside High School! Ms. Lee gave an awesome presentation while students constructed their scooters and learned important information regarding E-scooter safety! After the presentation, students were treated to an E-scooter demonstration outside by Ms. Lee. From June 27th – Jul 1st, 2025, the JETS (TEAMS) Club at Hillside High School proudly participated in the National TSA Conference Competition in Nashville, Tennessee! This event provided an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and teamwork through a variety of difficult challenges, including the Presentation Challenge, Design/Build Challenge, Multiple-Choice Exam, and Mathematical Modeling. These activities encouraged students to apply their knowledge of math and science in creative and practical ways to tackle real-world engineering problems. We are thrilled to announce that our Hillside High School team performed exceptionally well and qualified as one of the Top 10 National Finalists in the Presentation Challenge!
